Yesterday was the release day of one of the most anticipated games since its announcement: Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
Cloud is also preying for one copy.
He might be luckier than me, since he has some more means to get his hands on it. For instance, he has this fearsome claw that can rip through the masses of gamingotakus standing in line for a copy.

Something that’s even more fearsome is his Buster Sword. I don’t quite get why he wraps it up with cloth. Maybe he has mercy with his gaming-loving victims.

About this figure:
I pre-ordered this one a while ago at a local store over here, probably two months ago. Cloud is part of the Kingdom Hearts Formation Arts collection released by Square Enix. I didn’t even pay attention to the other ones, since this figure is qualitywise no competion to the big name companys’ figures. It’s more like an action-figure quality.
The detail on the hair is rather sloppy, also you can spot several seamlines all over. With some dark lightning I managed to hide most of them. This figure is quite small (about 10cm/4inch) with the sword taking up most of the height. To wrap it up, for any pvc figure collector, I wouldn’t recommend this one, since pvc figure collectors are used to far more superior quality.
So why did I get it? I’m a huge Final Fantasy VII fan^^ Out of all the figures I saw in the past, including the new Advent Children ones, I liked this Square Enix version the most. Just because of the pose…I know I’m a sucker for action poses^^ And in addition, I’m a fan of lots of videogame characters, like Streetfighter’s Cammy or Persona 3’s Mitsuru.
On top of that, it was rather cheap, 14€ = $19. A good and cheap get for fanboys which celebrate the release of a great game

Thats a sweet grab. Saw it awhile back, and didn’t exactly place it under a magnifying glass like you did and felt it looked pretty awesome and didn’t see too much seamlines. But I was (am still) a n00b back then XD
Ever gonna place it on a rotating base? Gives off pretty sweet vibes on those things ^^b
eh, never saw this figurine before, quite cheap also, but yah seems like the quality isnt that great.
have you got the game crisis core? I heard there’s a hint of FFVII remake in crisis core
This “kingdom hearts” version of Cloud is awesome! When I first saw and fought him in the game, I was excited like a kid ^^
It’s a bit sad that this figure is quite small. It would have been great if it was bigger IMO.
And btw, doesn’t he come in a set with 2 others little figures? Goofy & Kairi if I remember well?
And yeah… what a shame play-asia doesn’t ship the game to Europe ;_;

No, I don’t have the game yet. I’ll probably grab it after some decent translations are available. Though, playing with a translation script next to you is not really the way it’s meant to be =/
About the secret video: I’m not too sure about that. Could have been fake as the video, which is unlocked after finishing the game twice, resembles the demo show of FF7 that they did for the PSP. But let us all hope that the video is real =)
lu-k: Agreed on the size. A bigger version with a bigger Buster Sword would have been indeed nice =O
There is an option to buy him in a set together with the two. But I wasn’t too interested in them, so I got just got Cloud. I didn’t play KH, that’s why^^
the first time I saw this Cloud I thought it was a figure, only later did I found out it was part of the Kingdom Hearts Formation Arts collection. I agree with lu-k a 1/8 figure of this Cloud will be really nice.
Nostalgic lol, seeing Cloud like that makes me want to play KH again. I really hope Cloud appears in KH3, but I need to get a PS3 if I want to see him myself lol. The figure is nice, like everyone else, I wish he were bigger and in better quality. I really like the pose and the price though.
