SOS Dan. By now the most phamous school activity group of the anime loving community. Its activities are surely noteworthy, well diversified and the chief is one daunting girl, who we all love. No doubt about that. BUT, wouldn’t you get bored of her desperately searching aliens and espers after a while? Man, it’s certainly tiring walking around the city without ever spotting an extra terrestrial. Wouldn’t you love to confront those aliens right away? Wouldn’t you love to relax after school and then when day is about to end, go hunting? Hunting for aliens? Shadows?…….
If so, I give you the SEES - Special Extracurricular execute sector! Still in doubt? I give you one reason for joining this group: member Mitsuru Kirijo
Mitsuru Kirijo is a character from the game Persona 3 for the Playstation2. The Persona franchise is another RPG series originating in 1996. Just one year before the Final Fantasy series gave its debut on the Playstation with FF7. I never played Persona and I don’t know why I missed it. No wait, I was a Square fanboy back then, that is why =P More than 10 years after the first part, Atlus brings us the fourth (Persona 2 had two parts) installment with this beautiful character.
Persona characters have a special ability. They are capable of contacting “ghosts” to interact with them and helping them throughout the game. You equip them, gaining various properties and stats, such as HP and MP. Since they don’t take control of you, you’re entering a symbiosis with them, hence the name Persona.
It’s my first figure that I got from the Kotobukiya company. Recently, I had the pleasure to get accuainted with the astounding quality of a Max Factory figure. So judging from my small collection of figurines, I have to say that this Kotobukiya figure surpasses my only MF figure (which is Haruhi). Now, since I’m a noob, please don’t put to much weight on my opinion. Instead, listen to me praising this lovely figure^^
Very cute face. She opens her mouth a little bit, which I disliked at the beginning. You get used to it though and it doesn’t really show from afar. Her hair is gorgeous. I’m a fool for anything waving. I do admit that looking at her from the back, her hair looks like an octopuss o_O However, color, sculpting and shading is superb to me.
She wears an very basic outfit. White shirt with ripples, a lovely neck scarf, black skirt with four inverted pleats and black boots up to her knees.
Her skirt can be cast off, revealing plain white pantys. I didn’t shoot her like that because the bodyparts don’t fit perfectly and thus creating an ugly moldline. Apart from that, I didn’t really mind about the imperfections. The seamline on her head seems to be a common problem with those PVC figureand their flat hairdo.
Her base functions as a little case which holds the various changeable parts that come with this figure: belt with gunholder, gun, second hand for the gun, empty gunholder, sword.
Please allow me one small rant though: don’t you hate it when nothing works out the way you plan it? While shooting I felt so tense, my back and shoulders hurt and I was so impatient. In the end I feel like I didn’t put too much effort into this shooting. I so need some vacations…Mitsuru is still a beautiful figure and I’m really happy with that purchase =)

Nice pictures
Like the “red” and “blue” ones ^^
She looks awesome though, and your pictures are here to confirm
I’ve just received her too, but not put it out her box yet
One of the best Kotobukiya PVC figure.
She looks lovely, and agreed with lu-k, the blue and red themes are fabulous. Heh, the hair does look kinda octopusy doesn’t it. But I’m probably gonna grab it anyway when the chance arises.
Can relate to how it feels when nothing works out, since it’s a common occurrence for me -_-” And the feeling of thinking you could have put in more effort suxx as well :/ Guess we aren’t built to be like duracell bunnies.
The feeling of uncomplete work is something I have to deal with everyday as a designer. That does not mean you’re lazy, that just mean you want everything to be perfect, and that’s hard to stop “touching up” your work and being satisfied with what you came up with…
Very nice pictures BTW, I agree with my two felow otaku above, the two “non descriptive” pictures are very artsy
I really like the overall style of this figure.
The redcast shot is a keeper.
lu-k: Thanks mate, I’m waiting for you pictures
shinohai: Definetely grab it =) You’re even more active and way closer to a duracell machine
Angelo: Good points. May I ask, for how long have you been doing the designer job? Since, at some point you might be that experienced enough and then just say “ok, that’s enough, I’ll submit my work now.” And then the real work starts with the little tunings that your customer wants. I have one customer who is like that all the time.
super rats: Yes, she has no fancy outfit or details, yet she doesn’t fail amaze me. Very classy.
About the blue and red photos: they’re just very plain shots to outline the multiple side of a character. Glad you guys like them =)
@phamolous: Machines unfortunately, do break down. lol.
A truly awesome figure. I love everything about her except maybe the huge base, while lookin cool, takes up too much space in my crowded shelf ^^;
I can totally relate to getting burned out from taking figure pics. Expecially since we want to impress our fellow figure friends
It took me awhile to do my last shoot as I was feeling the same. You really have to be in the mood to take pics or it just becomes a hassle.
I have to keep reminding myself, “this is supposed to be fun” ^^
Oh, nice pictures too! The red/blue ones are great.
yup the red and blue one is nice ^^, this figure is quite nice, but somehow i find her too slim haha, guess i like my ‘pvc’ girls with a bit more meat
eh, I never knew this figurine before. she looks nice
shinohai: Your’s is running and running and running^^
aka_ugly: Haha yes, the base is very dominating. There is still plenty of room in my Detolf, though^^ She’s sharing her space with Haruhi and the Revoltech Eva.
valho: That’s why you got two Mirei’s, huh
ron~: Yep, one of my favorites right now.
Nice pics, I like her pose and especially her face.
